Module Home

This module provides teachers and other professionals with a basic understanding of principles and practices of overt instruction in behavior. Its focus is on tactics (i.e., tips and how-tos) for teaching appropriate behavior. Highlighted are ways to teach rules and procedures that help children behave well in school. Practical tips for maintaining positive classroom environments and monitoring the progress of behavior instruction are provided. Because nothing works all of the time, the module also addresses effective ways to modify teaching and provide more instruction in positive classroom behavior. The emphasis on this module is on creating an environment which broadens the likelihood of ongoing successful behavior instruction.
